Behaviour and Accountability Pathway
A Targeted 12‑Week Intervention for Repeated Behaviour Patterns
Overview
The Behaviour & Accountability Pathway provides structured intervention for boys whose behavioural patterns are persistent, reactive or influenced by peer dynamics.
Delivered through the R.E.S.P.E.C.T Framework, this pathway strengthens emotional regulation, impulse control and accountable decision‑making. It is particularly suited to schools managing recurring low‑level disruption, peer escalation and pupils at risk of exclusion
When This Pathway is Appropriate
This pathway is designed for boys who:
- Repeatedly appear in behaviour data trends
- Demonstrate impulsivity or reactive responses
- Are influenced by peer hierarchy or status dynamics
- Escalate low‑level incidents
- Sit within inclusion or behaviour support cohorts
The focus is developmental – not punitive.
How Behavioural Change Happens
Sustainable change occurs when pupils:
- Recognise behavioural triggers
- Strengthen regulation strategies
- Increase ownership of decisions
- Align behaviour with strengthened identity and personal standards
Through repeated reinforcement in small‑group dialogue and 1:1 coaching, pupils move from reaction to reflection.
Delivery Model
12‑Week Blended Structure:
- Weekly delivery across two terms
- Alternating small‑group sessions (maximum 8 pupils)
- Fortnightly 1:1 coaching
- Consolidation and review session
- Behaviour data tracking and evaluation
This structure combines shared peer language with personalised behavioural targets.
Impact Indicators
Schools typically observe:
- Reduced repeat low‑level incidents
- Fewer isolation referrals
- Increased positive behaviour points
- Improved classroom consistency
Greater emotional maturity
